Each School Leadership Team (SLT) and the District Leadership Team (DLT) participate in the three-day ICS Institute Part I.
The Institute Part I provides teams three intensive days of focused time to learn the ICS Framework and Process to be able to implement ICS in their setting.
After teams have completed the ICS Institute Part I, each School Leadership Team (SLT) and the District Leadership Team (DLT) participate in the three-day ICS Institute Part II – Co-Plan to Co-Serve to Co-Learn (C3). This usually occurs in the second year of our partnership with you.
The Institute Part II provides the opportunity for teams to engage in the intensive work creating and implementing the Co-Plan to Co-Serve to Co-Learn teams and designing identity-relevant, rigorous learning experiences.
The ICS Digital Modules detail the ICS Framework and Process. The Four Cornerstone ICS Framework includes specific ICS Steps within each Cornerstone. Each Digital Module explains each ICS Step and includes end of Module questions in a fillable form for teams to discern current practices and identify next steps.
ICS provides virtual coaching four times per academic year, for three years, where we meet with each of the School Leadership Teams (SLT) and the District Leadership Team (DLT) (and teams in other settings) to check-in on progress, challenges, and next steps in the work.
The ICS Four Cornerstone Framework and Process is implemented in the context of community engagement and development. We offer the Community Equity Ally Academy for four evening sessions within a year.
School Board members in partnership districts are invited to attend the ICS Overview and Institute Part I. We also provide the ICS School Board Academy for six evening sessions.
Don’t take it from us! Read more from Shorewood School District’s teachers, staff and district leaders about the impact ICS Equity consulting services have had on their schools.
We provide comprehensive equity audits and evaluations at all levels of education: schools, districts, regions, states, university departments/programs/colleges and university wide equity evaluations. These evaluations are custom-designed, collaborative, and participatory. They are grounded in the ICS Framework and Process, and include detailed next steps aligned with the ICS Four Cornerstones.
We also provide completely customized and energizing ICS Keynotes related to the ICS Framework and Process. We spend time with your team gathering as much information as possible about the particular needs and unique contexts of the group and what might be most helpful to move the equity process forward in your setting.
ICS provides professional learning that builds on the ICS Framework and Process. Additional professional learning opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
Our unique framework is based on years of research as well as decades of both lived experience and practical experience in school districts as administrators, teachers and leaders.

Can I implement ICS in my setting with the ICS Digital Modules without attending an ICS Institute?
Yes. The ICS Digital Modules have been designed to lead teams through an easy to understand, step-by-step process to implement the equity work in their setting. At the same time, the ICS Institute leads teams through the ICS Four Cornerstone Framework and Process and through each of the ICS Steps (see the Digital Modules page). Teams experience the content and activities themselves to better prepare them to lead the work in their organization.
How much is a ICS Digital Module site license?
One Time Purchase, No Annual Fees.
Receive all future updates and enhancements to the ICS Digital Modules.
For pricing information and to learn more contact [email protected].
How do we access the ICS Digital Modules?
Schools, districts, and other organizations may access the Digital Modules by purchasing a site license. For schools, the district should purchase a site license for each school in the district and in so doing, a site license for the district leadership team is provided without cost. All staff in the particular school may access the log-in to read the Modules and contribute to the fillable forms in the Modules. In this manner, everyone on the staff may be part of the process of creating the ICS Action Plan at the end of each Module to operationalize the work.
At this time ICS includes school-level, district-level, and school board-level Digital Modules. What additional sets of Digital Modules will be forthcoming?
We will be adding a set of ICS Digital Modules for community members, state departments of education, students, university leadership and teacher preparation programs, post-secondary institutions, professional associations, and city/county governments.
How can the ICS Digital Modules help us implement ICS in my setting?
The ICS Digital Modules feature a Module for each step in the ICS Four Cornerstone Framework and Process. Each Module explains each ICS Step supported by research. First, the team will read the Module and type in the answers to the ICS Action Plan at the end of the Module. Each Module includes practical activities and Powerpoint slides that teams can adapt and use to facilitate each ICS Step with the rest of the staff. We suggest that teams rely on the Digital Modules as they would a book study. With the ICS Digital Modules and participation in the ICS Institutes Part I and Part II, combined with ICS Coaching, teams have all the information they need to implement ICS in their settings.
